Social Networking

29 Jul

my friend David McLaughlin had a great post today that is worth a read.  He’s talking about social networking (unless you’ve been living under a rock for the last few years, I’m talking about Myspace, Facebook, etc) and how we lack face-to-face social networking these days.  Definitely worth a read.

For more thoughts on this stuff I highly recommend reading Robert Putman’s stuff (Bowling Alone, etc) and Randy Frazee’s stuff (Making Room for Life, The Connecting Church) and others.
I’m very interested in the decline of community in our country over the last 50 years.
